Dear Charis,

May I draw your attention to the Baska GNSS Vulnerabilities and Solutions 2008 Conference Call for Papers (https://www.rin.org.uk/news-events/events/gnss-vulnerabilities-and-solutions-2008-conference-baska-croatia). Organised by the Royal Institute of Navigation, London, UK and the Institute of Engineering Surveying and Space Geodesy, University of Nottingham, UK, the 1st GNSS Vulnerabilities and Solutions Conference will be held on 7-9 September 2008 at Corinthia Hotel, Baška, Krk Island, Croatia. You are kindly invited to contribute to the unique GNSS event addressing the most important satellite navigation issues, among them:

1. Core GNSS (GPS, Galileo, Glonass) system vulnerabilities and developments
2. GNSS augmentation systems

3. Space weather and ionospheric effects on GNSS positioning performance

4. GNSS interference identification and management

5. Tropospheric impact on GNSS positioning performance

6. Multipath mitigation

7. Navigation algorithms

8. Design of user equipment (receivers and aerials)

9. System integration issues

10. Application-related end-user experience (air, marine, land navigation; emergency and

rescue operations; geodesy; road pricing and traffic control; marine traffic control;

AIS; location-based services; agriculture; construction; meteorology).

A particular emphasis will be given to discussion of space weather and ionospheric effects on GNSS performance. A special session will be organised to address the subject.

Numerous authoritative satellite navigation experts have already confirmed their contribution to the unique event to be held in the beautiful Mediterranean atmosphere of Krk Island. Join the leading GNSS professionals in discussion of yet unresolved problems of GNSS vulnerabilities (ranging from interference and space weather effects to particular user experience in air, marine and road navigation, geodesy, land management and telecommunications) and contribute to search of solutions for them. Additionally, your kind assistance in distribution of the Call for Papers among the colleagues will be very appreciated.

Looking forward to welcome you to another challenging GNSS event in Baška, Croatia.

With my kindest regards,

Dr Renato Filjar, FRIN
