Your recommendations?

Hello all,

I’m currently looking at new ways of sourcing candidates for my clients international requirements. Primarily my focus is on sourcing maritime IT, commercial and sales people at all levels. I would be interested to know as shipping professionals, where you look for job your opportunities? At present I mainly work on a referral basis and find networking invaluable, however as business increases we need to reach further into the market on a global basis. Which publications and websites do you find particular useful when looking for new opportunities or indeed sourcing employees yourself?

Dear Charlotte Bollu.
I don't have much experience in Yours business, but I try to help You.
Some companies (like Yours), in my country, specialize on searching for maritime IT for our shipowners.
And this copmanies are visit our maritime universites very often and agitate young students on work in one or another
shipping company after university. Sometimes students have scholastic practice in this shipping company. So after university and shipowner and young specialist already know each other. I think this is beautiful decision.
But however, I talked with one my friend (he worked in same copmany) and he said that the most best way, then company place own WEB-page in some local host. On this page everybody (maritime IT and etc.) can live own summary.
During short time, commanding database is formed. And shipowner can choose who who is pleased.
WEB-page must be advertised of course.
I think that it's all that I know.
